Restrict Access to TurboRater

January 8, 2012 AnMarie Bozick, CIC

If you have concerns about employees accessing TurboRater outside of your office, you can lay them to rest. You can restrict access to TurboRater by computer IP address. A computer IP address (Internet Protocol Address) is a numerical label assigned to each computer participating in a given network that uses the Internet Protocol for communication. To easily find out what your computers IP Address is you can use and it will display your IP Address on the screen; or you can call your Internet Service Provider and they will supply you with the information. Keep in mind that each computer will need to have a static IP Address, one that never changes. Being able to restrict TurboRater Access by IP Address ensures that only the specified computers will have access to TurboRater.
