As you navigate the world of insurance emails, allow me to share some of my pro-tips for email marketing. Whether you’re a pro or a novice, here are what I consider to be the top three habits of highly effective email marketers.
HABIT ONE: LEVERAGE AUTOMATION
“Marketing automation is about providing marketers the ability to target the right people and send them content based on behavior. By giving them information they need when they want it, you are helping them choose your business as a solution. That will result in increased conversion rates and revenue.” – SproutContent
If you’re not taking advantage of email marketing automation, you may want to reconsider your strategy. Automated email messages elicit higher audience engagement rates and generate more revenue than generic one-time email blasts. In a few quick steps, you can take your campaigns to the next level and leverage the optimization to drive more sales.
HABIT TWO: REMAIN FOCUSED
“One of the best ways to sabotage your content is to not tie it to your goals. Know why you’re creating content.” – Ellen Gomes, Senior Content Marketing Manager, Marketo
It’s easy to get carried away by the many bells and whistles email marketing provides. But, don’t let your message become littered with unnecessary content. Every email you send should have a single, clear purpose. That purpose should remain a central focal point throughout your campaign. This helps guide subscribers through the journey you’re leading them through without distracting them from your goal.
HABIT THREE: AVOID COMPLACENCY
“Take a risk and keep testing, because what works today won’t work tomorrow. But, what worked yesterday may work again.” – Amrita Sahasrabudhe, Vice President of Marketing, FastMed Urgent Care
The digital marketing landscape is constantly evolving, and email is no exception. It’s tempting to allow automation to put your email campaigns on auto-pilot. But, it is important for you to revisit and examine your emails periodically and look for areas to improve.
