10 content ideas for november

Posting to your insurance website is an easy way to keep clients on your website. And, it helps with your website’s online search visibility too.

Often, the most difficult part about posting to your website is thinking of what to talk about. That’s why we put out 10 new topic ideas each month for insurance agency websites. Read through these topics and pick one to write about in November. And, don’t forget to check back next month for more!

1.National Diabetes Awareness Month

November is National Diabetes Awareness Month each year. This year’s National Diabetes Month is focused on spreading awareness about gestational diabetes. This type of diabetes develops during pregnancy. If your agency writes health insurance, write a blog post about this topic in November.

2.Dia De Los Muertos – Nov 1st and 2nd

Otherwise known as “the Day of the Dead”, you may recognize this holiday from the recent Disney movie Coco. This holiday commemorates and honors the dead with different traditions. Write about this holiday in your next agency social media post or newsletter.

3.Flooded Vehicle Q&A

As more severe weather events lead to flooding, write a blog post to answer common flood questions. One of them may be “How do I identify a car that’s been in a flood?” Or, “What do I do if my car has been in a flood?” Answer these questions (along with a few others) and post them to your insurance website.

4.Daylight Saving Time Ends – Nov. 4th

It’s time to fall back after springing forward. Daylight saving time always ends on the first Sunday in November. Post a reminder to your social media accounts to set clocks and watches back one hour. If you have a newsletter already scheduled to go out the week before, add it there too.

5.Insurance News Roundup

Has there been any new developments in the insurance or legal world that clients should know about? Compile a few recent news articles that you think are important to know about. Post them to your website’s blog section and share it on social media. For example, did you know injured workers in New York can now attend virtual hearings?

6.Election Day – Nov. 6th

This year the US holds midterm elections on November 6th. Encourage your clients to perform their civic duty and vote! Avoid potentially alienating clients based on political party, though. Instead, post about the importance of actively participating in democracy. It only needs to be as simple as that!

7.Winter Tire Safety

Parts of the country are already well within the winter weather season. If your insurance agency offers auto coverage, post about this topic. Write down your top three winter tire safety tips in your next agency blog post.

8.Veterans Day – Nov. 11th (Observed Nov. 12th)

Honor veterans past and present on this national holiday. It takes place annually on November 11, and is observed the next day. Post a patriotic message in your newsletter or on social media to celebrate the veterans in your life.

9.Thanksgiving – Nov. 22nd

Thanksgiving is often spent with close family and friends. But, as an insurance agent you know crisis can strike at any time. Let customers know about of your emergency contact numbers in case of accidents or emergency. Also, if your agency is having special holiday hours, post them to social media or in your November newsletter.

10.Boil Water Notice FAQ

Boil water notices can happen to almost any city or town. Their causes can range from heavy rainfall to faulty equipment. But, once they happen your clients will want to know what to do next. Prepare a boil water notice FAQ and post it to your website. Be sure to use your town’s name in the title.
